DYNAMIC ACRYLIC PAINTING with Brett Greiman, MONDAY'S 6-8:30PM 

Students will be introduced to an understanding and creative utilization of the unique characteristics of acrylic paints and this class is for beginners as well as being valuable for anyone who’s tried acrylics but seeks a more in-depth knowledge of the medium. Knowledge will be shared on making informed buying decisions with acrylics and brushes. Brett will introduce students to his “modern grisaille” technique and the importance of value contrasts in your work. Also, techniques of layering as well as dry brush, wash, and glazing techniques. Learn what brushes work best. Knowledge of various gel mediums for special effects will be shared. Learn about the power of color and how to use various color contrasts to make paintings that grab attention and sell! Information on how to preserve your work will also be covered. Instructions will be shared for how to create an acrylic mural. Brett is a Pennsylvania Arts in Education artist in residence and is well known for his patient and empathetic approach to teaching art. TUITION: $175 MEM / $200 NON-MEM (A Supply List is included with your completed registration confirmation email.
