COMPOSITION IN ABSTRACT ART with Andi Simpson What can hold everything together in abstract paintings? Composition! Think of composition as the building blocks of your painting. In this 2 evening workshop we will learn how to paint powerful abstract paintings using color and composition. We will start by learning 3 simple commonly used composition styles that help to draw the viewer in and guide them around the painting creating an experience. I will help you use color with confidence, and grow your collection of work all while pulling out your own style within your paintings. This workshop will consist of demonstrations, creating samples of each technique, and short critiques. It is open to all levels of painting. Students will be working with acrylic paint. TUITION: $100 MEM / $125 NONMEM
