These sounds and others are accompanied by visions of what summer means to creators. We are calling artists to make a piece of work depicting their visual representation, abstract or otherwise, of the sounds of summer. It need not be a literal portrayal of bees, frogs, etc! Let your creativity roam through the warm days of this wonderful season!
THE CALL:
Members and non-members are invited to create a visual representation, abstract or otherwise, of the sounds that define summer for them. Whether it’s the hum of bees or the laughter of children, we encourage you to CAPTURE THE ESSENCE of these moments in your own unique way. Let your creativity flow freely, embracing the warmth and vibrancy of this special season. This exhibition is limited to 100 submissions.
Prior to registering, please review: YAA ARTIST TERMS AND CONDITIONS for compliance standards and guidelines for acceptance into York Art Association exhibitions.
AWARDS: Three artists will receive awards: First Place – $200, Second Place – $150, and Third Place – $100.
