Bring your own projects and enjoy dedicated creative time in the classrooms at the York Art Association.
These self-directed sessions provide artists with the opportunity to work independently, connect with fellow members, and utilize the Association’s space in a relaxed and supportive environment. Participants are welcome to stay for the full time or drop in for the time that best fits their schedule - it's really up to you on how you want to use this time to practice and create!
Tables are available for $10 per session. Space is limited to 10 participants per session. No instruction will be provided.
Private drawing lessons where student will work at their own pace using the classical methods demonstrated in class. Material covered will include learning to establish proportions, value, perspective by using tools such as grids and sight-size method. Practice drawing from reference photo and life (no live models).
SUPPLY LIST:
Good quality 9x12 sketchbook (or larger)
drawing board
set of graphite drawing pencils
kneaded eraser (suggested, but not required: Tombow mono zero eraser, proportional scale divider)
Special Instructions: To benefit the most from the class, student must be committed to practice the skills outside of class on a regular basis.
