Join us Thursday evenings this fall for expert instruction from this professional working and teaching artist with over 50 years of acrylic painting experience. Whether experienced with acrylics or just starting out this is your chance to explore the unlimited creative possibilities of this medium. This class is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and stress-free. You don’t need any prior experience—just a willingness to try something new. If you do have experience with acrylics, Brett will assist you with taking your creative explorations further. Brett will guide you step-by-step, helping you build confidence and develop your own unique style at your own pace.
In this dynamic, hands-on course, you'll:
* Experiment with innovative techniques like glazing, impasto, dry brushing, sgraffito, wet-on-wet and palette knife work.
* Experience an in-depth exploration of the amazing creative opportunities with acrylic gel mediums. Learn how to add mixed media to your paintings! Try making your own gel mediums, creating molded acrylic objects and acrylic skins.
* Deepen your understanding of color theory and composition.
* Receive personalized empathetic feedback and guidance from Brett.
Enjoy a friendly, social atmosphere where you can connect with others who share your interest in art and creativity. Whether you come with a friend or on your own, you’ll leave each class feeling uplifted and inspired and more confident in your skills.

Acrylic Brushes and Knife
Multiple sizes of Round, Flat and Filbert brushes. Synthetic preferred.
One of more Palette knifes.

Canvas boards or stretched canvases.
One large cup for water to mix paints and One to rinse/store brushes (2 total)

BRETT GRIEMAN, a graduate of the York Academy of Arts, has been working his art services business since 1998 after working two decades in the pre-press industry. Brett was a part time instructor at Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts teaching a wide variety of subjects such as drawing, color theory, illustration, rendering, three levels of graphic design as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Brett’s paintings and murals can be found in many private and corporate collections including Harley-Davidson, York History Center, Wellspan Health, Nixon Nature Center, and many others.
