This workshop will cover the ways you can create depth on a flat surface with position, scale, and value. Viewfinders and grids will be introduced as methods to achieve accuracy. Linear perspective will be demonstrated with a couple basic exercises in parallel and angular views. Shading on geometric forms will be shown and discussed. We will finish up by sketching a still life, set up using actual objects on hand.
Actual objects with distinct three-dimensional geometric forms will be provided as subjects in order to best hone our skills, no photographs.
