Registration Opens: January 19, 2026
THE CALL:
Members and non-members are invited to create a visual representation, abstract or otherwise, of what inspires them to create. Each artist may enter up to 2 pieces of work. Include a 2 or 3 sentence statement about what inspires you and how you use it in the painting(s). This exhibition is limited to 100 submissions.
Prior to registering, please review: YAA ARTIST TERMS AND CONDITIONS for compliance standards and guidelines for acceptance into York Art Association exhibitions.
With the exception of the Open Juried Exhibition and Sally Little Danyo, we will not accept entries which have been in previous YAA exhibitions. Works must be created in no more than the past 3 years.
AWARDS: Three artists will receive awards: First Place – $200, Second Place – $150, and Third Place – $100.
JUDGE: Leah Limpert Walt
"Leah Limpert Walt is a painter and instructor living and working in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Her work is in private collections in the United States and Germany. Leah’s work explores the narratives underlying the collective experience of life and the unfolding of time. Themes of meaning and purpose and mystical connections that bridge gaps in human knowledge infuse the imagery of her paintings with remembrance and possibility."
IMPORTANT DATES:
January 3: Call Opens
February 25: Call Closes @ 2PM (or when intake limit is reached)
Monday March 2: Intake of Registered Works 2-6PM
Sunday March 8: Opening Reception 2-4PM
Sunday April 19: Pickup of unsold works, 4-4:30PM
Sunday April 20: Pickup of unsold works, 10-2PM
INTAKE:
Work(s) are ready to hang, prepared with braided hanging wire.
Work(s) are hand delivered and signed in by Artist (or Artist’s representative)
Work(s) are dry, securely framed or have finished edges.
ID/Intake Tags will be printed for you.
Please arrive during the scheduled times when our volunteers are able to accept your entries properly.
Due to insurance reasons, we are unable to accept works outside of the scheduled pick up times.
PICKUP:
If you are unable to pick up your art on pick up days, please have a friend retrieve your pieces for you during these designated times.
Art not retrieved is not insured and will not be held. All efforts to contact artist will be made, but art will not be stored if artist fails to pick up.
